5.11 Powered seat Lifting:
The seat can lift up to 300 mm by operating it through your
control system.
WARNING!
Before operating the seat lift function ensure that the
immediate area around the wheelchair is clear of possible
obstructions, (eg wall shelving), and potential hazards, (eg
small children and pets).
NOTE:
Operating the seat lift will limit the drive speed of the
wheelchair.
Operating the seat lift and other electric options may initiate
a drive inhibit.
Operation:
Switch the chair on and press the mode button.
The controller will change into the actuator mode, the Seat
symbol will appear in the LCD screen.
Operate the joystick left or right to select the actuator
required.
Selection is indicated via the lighting of the relevant seat
section and is also written below the seat icon.
Operate the joystick in the forward or rearward direction to
move the leg rest, lift, tilt, recline or MEMORY POSITION
up or down.
Release the joystick when the desired angle/position is
reached.
To return to drive mode, press the mode button again until
the speed gage appears on the LCD screen. (See Fig. 5.17-
5.19 previous page).

5.12 Powered seat Tilting:
The seat can be tilted by operating your control system.
WARNING!
Before operating the seat function, ensure that the immediate
area around the wheelchair is clear of possible obstructions,
(eg wall shelving), and potential hazards, (eg small children
and pets).
NOTE:
Operating the seat will limit the drive speed of the
wheelchair.
Operating the seat and another electric options will stop the
drive all together.
Operation:
Switch the chair on and press the mode button.
The controller will change into the actuator mode and the
seat symbol will appear in the LCD screen.
Operate the joystick left or right to select the actuator
required.
Selection is indicated via the lighting of the relevant seat
section and is also written below the seat icon.

up or down.

NOTE: With the seat lift raised the maximum speed is
limited to approximately 10% of its normal value. This is
known as “Creep Mode”.
Raising the seat in combination with other powered
seating options, such as standing/recline/leg rests, can
suspend the normal drive options, (depending on
programming). This is quite normal and is a safety
feature.
To start driving the wheelchair again, bring the seating
options back to their start positions.
