Quicksilver 855WE — System & Component Overview and Operaon
Before operang the windlass, make sure that the safely
lanyard is removed from the anchor

Operaon From the Helm
To operate the windlass, the windlass breaker, located in the baery switch panel tub, must be turned
ON. Operaon of the windlass at the helm is controlled by a momentary switch used to raise and
lower the anchor. Pushing down on the switch will lower the anchor, while pushing up on the switch
raises the anchor.
Operaon From the Bow
With the windlass breaker in the ON posion, you can alternavely operate the windlass via foot
switches located on the port side of the anchor locker. To operate, rst li the protecve covers over
both switches. To lower the anchor, press the right foot switch marked with a down arrow. To raise
the anchor, press the le foot switch marked with an up arrow. When nished, or not in use, make
sure the protecve covers are closed over the foot switches.
Manual operaon
In the event that there is a loss of power, the windlass can sll be used to raise or lower the anchor
manually. If there is a loss of power, check the windlass breaker to see if it needs to be reset. If you
