6 Maintenance
6.1 Maintenance warnings
• Before starting any maintenance or repairs, stop the compressor and close the air
outlet valve.
• Press the emergency stop button (S3) below the Q-Control Touch.
• Depressurize the air system, using the manual drain valves and/or the test buttons
on the electronic water drains.
• Open the isolating switch (customer's installation) to switch off the voltage to the
compressor.
• Repairs inside the control and power cubicle may only be carried out by Quincy.
• Wait at least 6 minutes before starting any electrical repairs as hazardous high
voltage remains on the capacitors of the frequency converter for 6 minutes after
the voltage is switched off.
• Follow all relevant instructions given in the section Safety precautions.
Warranty - Product Liability
Use only Quincy authorized genuine parts. Any damage or malfunction caused by the use of
unauthorized parts is not covered by Warranty or Product Liability.
6.2 Preventive maintenance schedule of the compressor
General
The schedule comprises a summary of the maintenance activities. Read the respective section
before starting maintenance activities. When servicing, replace all removed gaskets, O-rings and
washers.
