4.57 When the POWER switch is set to ON D28 is connected between the +5 volt
rail and 0 volts. This turns on 033, which turns on 036. 036 draws current
through D30 to provide a voltage at IC11a/2. IC11a compares this voltage with 0 volts,
and regulates the volt drop across 051 (via 032) to maintain a constant potential on the
+5 vol trail.

4.58 The -5 volt rail is stabilised by 052, which is controlled by IC11b (via 034).
~he vol tage at IC11 b/7, derived from the potentiometer chain R143, R139, R140
is compared with 0 volts at IC11b/6.
