(7) When the batteries ore fully charged check the operation of the
instrument on battery power.

5.68 Before fitting the LFmultiplier check that LK2 is fitted and LK1 is not fitted on
the p. c . b. 19-0797.

Remove the top cover (see paragraph 5.1).
Remove the battery pack, if fitted.
(2) If model 9421 or model 9442 frequency standard is fi tted detach it
from the rear panel by removing the two retaining screws. It is not
necessary to unsolder the connections.
(3) Attach the LF multiplier p.c.b. to the side panel using the screws,
washers and spacers provided. Threaded mounting holes are provided in
the right hand side towards the rear of the instrument.
(4) Connect pins 1 to 5 of the LF multiplier to the main p.c.b. in
accordance with the circuit diagram (Fig .4). Dress the wiring neatly.
(5) Remove LK1 on main p. c. b. 19-0887.
(6) Refit the frequency standard to the rear panel.
(7) Carry aut the instrument check procedure to verify satisfactory
functioning. Replace the instrument cover.
