WARNING: DANGEROUS AC VOLTAGES ARE EXPOSED WHEN COVERS ARE
REMOVED WITH AC SUPP LY CONNECTED.

5.1
Set the POWER switch to 'off'l switch off the a. c. suppfy at the supply
point and unplug the power lead.
(2) Remove four screws from top and bottom covers.
(3) Remove the rubber pi ugs (located near to the rear end) from both side panels
of the instrument and slacken, by about two turns, the screws revea led.
(4) Grip the rear panel assembly and ease it back from the main case to the
maximum extent avai lable (about 5 mm).
(5) The
rear edge of either cover con now be lifted and the cover withdrawn
outwards and rearwards.
(6) To replace the covers reverse the above procedure.
TRANSFORMER VOLTAGE SELECTION
5.2 Ensure the voltage range selected is suitable for the local supply. To check the
selection proceed os follows:

Unplug the power cable from the supply and remove the top cover (see
paragraph 5.1).
Refer to Fig.5.1 and note the diagram which corresponds to the focal
supp

Connect the link and the wires from S52 to the transformer tappings os
shown
j~ the appropriate diagram.
Set 552 to the correct hal f of the selected range.
Ensure that the rear panel label correctly indicates the voltage range
selected ..
Replace the top cover.

5.3 Check that the power fuse on the rear panel is correctly rated for the supply vol tage f
as fol lows. The fuse is a glass cartridge type, 5 x 20 mm.
