  If the keypad on your Radio Shack Scanner isn't working, it might be locked. Try pressing the FUNC KEY/ LIGHT key to unlock it. If that doesn't work, the scanner may need to be initialized. Follow the steps in 'Initializing the Scanner to Factory Defaults'.
