1.NewdesignThenewdesignhasanarmalignmentrecessinsteadofaslitthroughthethread
andthenewprotectivecapdesignincludesataperedcollar .
2.OlddesignTheolddesignhasaslitthroughthethreadthatisusedforarmalignment.
Important:
Ifyourcurrentinstallationusestheolddesignthebaseandprotectivecapmustbechangedto
thenewdesign.
Failuretoreplacethebaseandprotectivecapwiththeimproveddesignmayaffectproduct
warranty .
R eplacingwindvaneandbaseusingexistingcable
Whenreplacinganexistingwindvaneyoucaneitherfitthenewwindvaneincludingthenewcable,
oryoucankeeptheexistinginstalledcable.Itisrecommendedthatthewindvanebaseischanged.
Themethodbelowdescribesreplacingthewindvaneandbase,keepingtheexistingcable.
1.R eleasethearmfromtheretainingclip.
2.Pushtheplasticsleeveupthearmandunscrewthelockingcollar
3.Pullthewindvanearmawayfromitsbase.
4.Placethecablenutremovaltool(suppliedwithyourreplacementarm)insidethethreadareaof
thebase,aligningthetagswiththegroovesonthenut.
