3. Examine the connections for damage, dirt, and
corrosion.
4. Use a multimeter to examine the cables for damage
and make sure that the cables are in the correct
positions.
5. Examine the distance between the flywheel magnet
and the ignition module with the air gap gauge.

6. If it is necessary, loosen the screws and adjust the
ignition module until the distance is correct. Tighten
the screws with the correct torque. Refer to
Servicing data on page 6

7. Do a spark test. Refer to

8. Replace the ignition module if there is no spark.
9. Install the muffler cover. Refer to

10. Install the starter unit. Refer to

3. Disconnect the spark plug cap from the spark plug.
4. Disconnect the short circuit cable (A) from the
ignition module.

5. Remove the 2 screws (B) and the ignition module
(C).
