KEEPING THE RC SYSTEM IN GOOD WORKING
ORDER
Maintenance and periodical checks
Periodically clean the transmitter unit to avoid the build up of dirt that
eventually becomes difficult to remove and that obscures the graphic
symbols referring to the pushbuttons’ function commands.
If the symbols become illegible or come off completely, replacement
labels should be re-affixed (available from REMdevice).
Periodically clean the slot underneath the transmitter unit’s base and the
battery charger to avoid dirt build up.
Do not use solvents to clean the equipment. The transmitter unit must
not be immersed in water.
Check the sealing of the transmitter unit, making sure there are no cracks
on the shell and that the rubber of the pushbuttons or joysticks is intact.
Any liquid infiltration can seriously damage or compromise the proper
functioning of the electric circuits inside the radio control unit.
Only specialist agents authorised by REMdevice must carry out
extraordinary maintenance and repairs. The use of unsuitable
replacement batteries could carry the risk of explosion.
The checks described in the paragraph CHECKING THE CORRECT
WORKING ORDER OF THE RED EMERGENCY STOP BUTTON, SWITCHING
ON KEY AND FUNCTIONS must also be carried out.
Serviceable parts
Never use the equipment with the switching on key not properly working,
blocked or broken. Make sure it is replaced immediately.
Never use the equipment if the emergency stop button is not working
properly.
The correct working of the emergency stop pushbutton ensures all
operations are stopped immediately and disactivates the radio control
unit. The break down (or partial break down) or imperfect working order
of this pushbutton will compromise the safety of the system since it does
not comply with safety regulations and will put the operator in serious
danger.
