Depending on the vehicle, the vehicle is
either fitted with a continuously variable
transmission.
Selector lever 2
Display A on the instrument panel
shows the mode and gear selected.
P: park
R: reverse gear
N: neutral
D: automatic mode
L: Low gear mode

: zone displaying gearbox mode.

Operation
With gear lever 2 in position P or N,
switch on the ignition.
With the foot on the brake pedal (warn-
ing light
c
on the display A goes out),
move the lever out of position P.
Only engage D or R when the vehi-
cle is stopped, with your foot on the
brake and the accelerator pedal re-
leased.
To move out of position P, you must
depress the brake pedal before
pressing the release button 1.

Creeping
It is a function that enables the vehicle
to move slowly without pressing accel-
erator pedal.Follow the steps:
Start the engine as instructed in
‘Starting’section..
With brake pedal pressed, shift the
lever to D position.
Release the parking brake and re-
lease the brake pedal gradually to
activate creeping..
Press brake pedal completely if any
obstacles found.
CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (1/3)
Once the vehicle is switched to ig-
nition ON position, the gearbox ini-
tializes. This produces a light sound.
This is normal. Crank the engine
after 3 seconds.
