I.3 INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The f ollowi ng op eratio ns can be c arried o ut via th e co ntrol panels:
• Drive/st op t he unit .
• Selection from the three fan speeds .
• Reg ulation of the th ermosta t a nd mai ntai ning th e d esired
tempera ture i n th e ro om.
• Switc ho ver of t he cooling / he ating : f unctio ning c ycle.
• Contin uous ve ntilation co ntrol.
The spe cific instructions for u se of t he controls are prov ided wit h
the relative controls.
I.3.1 PROLONGED SHUTDOWN
IMPORTANT !
If the unit is not used during the winter period, the
wat er contained in t he s ystem ma y freez e.
If the mac hine is goi ng to be out of use for lo ng periods o f ti me, it is
necess ary to disco nnect t he unit fro m th e mains b y disconnec ting th e
main switch, fitted by the installer.
If the unit is not used during th e wint er perio d, t he water c ont ained in
the s ys tem may fr eeze . To preve nt this, all the water contained in t he
circuit must b e emptied be fore the onset of win ter. Altern ati vel y, a
suitabl e quantit y of a nti-freez e liquid sh ould b e mi xed wit h th e water.
I.3.2 START-UP AFTER PROLONGED SHUTDOWN
Befor e starti ng up the u nit ag ain :
• Clean or cha ng e t he air filter.
• Clean t he heat-e xc hang er.
• Clean or uncl og the drain of the cond ens ate tra y.
• Bleed any air from the water s yst em.
• It is advisable to run the unit at maximum speed for s everal hours.
I.4 CLEANING THE UNI T
DANGER !

cleaning or performing maintenan ce op erations.
Do not spray water on the unit.
The extern al surfac e of t he unit can be clea ned.
Clean with a s oft cl oth da mpened wit h water a nd alcoh ol. Do not us e
hot water, abrasi ve or c orrosive su bsta nces or sol vents.
I.4.1 CLEANING THE AIR FIL TER
To ens ure c orrect air int a ke, the air filter must be cl eaned at l east onc e
a mont h or more o fte n if t he machin e is us ed in ver y dust y
environ ments. T he filter must always be re moved from th e unit t o be
cleaned.
The air fi lter i s mad e of a cr yl ic f ibr e, whi ch can be
washed with wat er.
The electrostatic activated carbon filters (with
which the unit may be equipped) cannot be washed
and must be replaced.
1) Opening the grid
Turn th e t wo screws by 90° (1/ 4 of a turn)
2) Remov ing the f ilter
3) Cleaning the filter
First clean t he filter with a vac uum cleaner, t hen rinse it under ru nning
water and dry it. I nsert the filter bac k into its seat correctl y.
Befor e refitti ng the filter, make sur e it is clean and compl etel y dry. If the
filter is damage d, it mus t be re placed with an original RHOSS S.p.A
filter.
