Splitting a Movie
You can split a movie into two files.

Select a movie to be split in playback mode.

Select [Split Movie] (P. 88) in the playback menu.
• For instructions on how to use the playback menu, see P. 86.

Press the ADJ./OK button to start playback.
• For instructions on how to play back movies, see step 2 on P.84.

Press the ADJ./OK button at the point where you want to
split the movie.
• The movie pauses.

Press the Fn button.

Select [Yes] and press the ADJ./OK button.
Caution ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
• The original movie cannot be retained once the movie is split.
•
The following movies cannot be split.
- Protected movies
- Movies flagged with [Flag Function Setting]
- Movies recorded less than two seconds long
- Movies recorded by other cameras
• Sufficient free space of the internal memory or SD memory card is required to
split movies.
•
You cannot split movies at the first or last second.
• Splitting time may be longer for some files.

• The split movie function is also available when a movie is paused during normal
playback.
