The Mode Dial

speed and aperture

MY1, MY2, MY3 (“my settings”): Recall settings
saved using Reg. My Settings (pages 53,
114–116).
A (aperture priority): You
choose an aperture
and let the camera
adjust the shutter
speed for optimal ex-
posure (page 42).
4 (scene): Opti-
mize settings for the

S (shutter priority): You
