Velocities
The impulse velocities are calculated from the runtimes and distances between the
sensors. They are the key information for the evaluation of the state of the wood.
Please take into consideration that the impulse velocity corresponds with wood density
and elasticity. Higher density and elasticity of the wood leads to higher impulse
velocities. It therefore varies between different tree species. Even within the species
there is still a certain range.
