• Continue to swing the top half upward. This will release the decorative cover
hinge and the tabs holding the top half in place.
• Pull the control wires through the large opening in the base plate.
• Position the base plate on the wall and attach it with appropriate fasteners
(Figure 2) (two screws with drywall anchors are supplied). The base plate should
be visibly level.
• Block any holes where wires are pulled through a wall opening. This will
prevent drafts from entering the back of the thermostat.
