5-4-7 ADJUST CRANKSHAFT AND CAMSHAFT END PLAY
Measure end play with the engine cold.(See Fig. 53.)
End play is regulated by a selected thickness of adjusting shim located on the crankshaft and
camshaft.
Replacement
is seldom needed unless the crankshaft, camshaft or main bearing cover have been
replaced.
