• BLADE
We strongly recommend tha t the blades (smooth
ones) a re sha rpened da ily using sha rpening stone
supplied with ma chine.
The qua lity of the cut depends ma inly on the sha rp-
ness of your blades a nd the degree of wea r. The
bla des a re a ctua lly wea ring pa rts, which should be
replaced occa sionally to ensure consistent qua lity in
the final product.
• MOTOR SEAL
The motor sea l on the shaft should be lubricated re-
gula rly using a food sa fe lubrica nt.
In order to keep the motor completely wa tertight, it is
a dvisa ble to check the motor sea l regularly for wea r
a nd tea r and replace if necessa ry.
The motor sea l ca n be ea sily replaced without ha ving
to remove the motor, so we strongly advise you to en-
sure tha t is in good condition.
SAFETY
These models a re fitte d w ith a magnetic sa fety
de vice a nd motor bra king system.
As soon a s you open the lid of the cutter bowl or the
vegeta ble a tta chment, the motor stops.
To resta rt the ma chine, simply close the lid a nd press
the green switch.
In order to a void spla shing when processing liquid
prepa ration, we recommend you stop the ma chine
before opening the lid.
All the models a re fitted with a therma l cut-out which
a utoma tically stops the motor if the ma chine is left on
for too long or overloa ded.
If this happens, a llow the ma chine to cool completely
before resta rting.
Check that your detergent is suita ble for clea ning
pla stic pa rts. Some washing a gents a re too alka-
line (e.g. high levels of ca ustic soda or a mmonia )
a nd tota lly incompa tible with certa in types of pla s-
tic, ca using them to deteriorate rapidly.
