1. Turn off and disconnect all electrical and pneumatic power as described in Safe
Shut-down on page 36.
2. Disconnect all communication connections as described in Safe Shut-down on
page 36.
3. Make sure that the system or component has been properly decontaminated following
the decontamination procedures for the facility. Follow all facility, local, and national
procedures for the disposal of any hazardous materials.
4. When shipping individual components, remove all components to be shipped (see the
MagneMover LITE User Manual and reverse the sequence to remove the components)
and see Shipping Components on page 135.
When shipping systems, see Shipping Systems or System Sections on page 135.
Shipping Components
1. Each component must be wrapped, bagged, and packed following standard packing
procedures.
2. Use the container that the component was originally shipped in and set the component
into the container and secure using the supplied packing material.
3. Close the shipping container and secure.
4. Make sure that the container is properly labeled (This End Up, Caution – Heavy, and
so on) and all shipping documents are attached to the outside of the container.
5. When shipping to MagneMotion, make sure that the RMA number is clearly visible on
the outside of the container.
Shipping Systems or System Sections
1. Bolt the feet to the bottom of the crate.
CAUTION
Magnetic Field Hazard
When shipping pucks or magnet arrays make sure
that the shipping container properly isolates the mag-
nets and identifies the Magnetic Field Hazard.
