Setting up
3. First steps
POWER ON
VOLUME
The first thing you need to do is connect the supplied PSB-4U
(EXR-5) or ACO (EXR-3) adapter to a suitable wall outlet.
(1) Unpack the EXR-5/EXR-3 and place it on a stable surface.
(2) Connect the small end of the adapter cable to the EXR-5/
EXR-3’s DC IN jack, and the other end to a suitable wall
outlet.
(3) Press the [POWER¥ON] button to switch on the EXR-5/
EXR-3.
(4) Use the [VOLUME] knob to set the EXR-5/EXR-3’s output
volume.
Note: When the EXR-5/EXR-3 is used at excessive volumes, the
protection system of its power amplifier stage may come on and
mute the speakers. In that case, reduce the volume setting and
wait a few seconds.
(5) Press [POWER¥ON] again to switch the EXR-5/EXR-3 back
off again.
If you wish to connect the EXR-5/EXR-3 to a keyboard or HiFi
amplifier, do so before performing step (3) and switch on the
amp before performing step (4).

Lo primero que debe hacer es conectar el adaptador PSB-4U
(EXR-5) o ACO (EXR-3)ACJ incluido a a una toma de corriente
apropiada.
(1) Desempaquete el EXR-5/EXR-3 y colóquelo sobre una
superficie estable.
(2) Conecte el extremo pequeño del cable del adaptador al
jack DC IN del EXR-5/EXR-3, y el otro extremo a una toma
de corriente apropiada.
(3) Pulse el botón [POWER¥ON] para activar el EXR-5/EXR-3.
(4) Utilice el mando [VOLUME] para ajustar el volumen de
salida del EXR-5/EXR-3.
Nota: Si utiliza el EXR-5/EXR-3 a un volumen excesivo, es posi-
ble que se active el sistema de protección de su amplificador de
potencia y enmudezca los altavoces. En este caso, reduzca el
ajuste de volumen y espere unos segundos.
(5) Pulse de nuevo [POWER¥ON] para volver a desactivar el
EXR-5/EXR-3.
Si desea conectar el EXR-5/EXR-3 a un amplificador de
teclado o HiFi, hágalo llevando a cabo el paso (3) y active el
amplificador antes de llevar a cabo el paso (4).

Avant tout, il faut brancher l’adaptateur PSB-4U (EXR-5) ou
ACO (EXR-3) fourni à une prise de courant ad hoc.
(1) Déballez l’EXR-5/EXR-3 et posez-le sur une surface stable.
(2) Branchez la plus petite extrémité du câble de l’adaptateur
à la prise DC IN de l’EXR-5/EXR-3 et l’autre bout à une
prise de courant de tension appropriée.
(3) Appuyez sur le bouton [POWER¥ON] pour mettre l’EXR-5/
EXR-3 sous tension.
(4) Réglez le volume de l’EXR-5/EXR-3 avec sa commande
[VOLUME].
Remarque: Quand vous jouez sur l’EXR-5/EXR-3 à un volume
excessif, le système de protection de son amplificateur de puis-
sance pourrait s’activer, coupant le son des enceintes. Dans ce
cas, diminuez le volume et attendez quelques secondes.
(5) Appuyez de nouveau sur [POWER¥ON] pour mettre l’EXR-5/
EXR-3 hors tension.
Si vous voulez brancher l’EXR-5/EXR-3 à une chaîne hi-fi ou
un amplificateur de clavier, faites-le avant d’effectuer l’étape
(3) et mettez l’amplificateur sous tension avant d’effectuer
l’étape (4).
