Playing without accompaniment
When you switch on the EXR-5/EXR-3, it select the PIANO SOLO
mode. This means that you can use the EXR-5/EXR-3 like a digi-
tal piano, or a synthesizer.
The accompaniment function (called “Arranger”) and
[ONE¥TOUCH] button are not available in PIANO SOLO mode,
while only the Main part is active.
The EXR-5/EXR-3 provides three parts for your live playing (and
many more for Arranger backing and Song playback):
Main As its name suggests, this is the most important
part. As long as the Split part is off, the Main part is
assigned to the entire keyboard.
Split When you switch on this part, it is assigned to the
left half of the keyboard, while the Main part can
be played with your right hand.
Dual This part can be added to the Main part and is also
assigned to the entire keyboard. This allows you to
play two sounds simultaneously.

(1) To activate the Main part and assign it to the entire key-
board, press the [PIANO¥SOLO] button.
The icon disappears, the Arranger stops (if it
was playing), and the EXR-5/EXR-3 automatically selects a
piano sound for you.
(2) Play a few notes on the keyboard.
(3) If necessary, select another sound by pressing one of the 8
TONE buttons. See p. 61 for details.
ARRANGER
Tocar sin acompañamiento
Cuando activa el EXR-5/EXR-3, se selecciona el modo PIANO
SOLO. Esto significa que puede utilizar el EXR-5/EXR-3 como un
piano digital, o un sintetizador.
La función de acompañamiento (llamada “Arranger”) y el botón
[ONE¥TOUCH] no están disponibles en modo PIANO SOLO,
cuando sólo la parte Main está activa.
El EXR-5/EXR-3 proporciona tres partes para sus interpretacio-
nes en directo (y muchas más para el acompañamiento Arranger
y para la reproducción de canciones):
Main
Y como su nombre indica (Main part, o parte principal), es la
parte más importante. Cuando la parte Split está desactivada,
la parte Main se asigna a todo el teclado.
Split Cuando se activa esta parte, se asigna a la parte izquierda del
teclado, mientras que la parte Main se puede tocar con la
mano derecha.
Dual Esta parte se puede añadir a la parte Main y también se
asigna a todo el teclado. Esto le permite reproducir dos
sonidos simultáneamente.
Utilizar la parte Main
(1) Para activar la parte Main y asignarla a todo el teclado,
pulse el botón [PIANO¥SOLO].
Desaparece el icono , el Arranger se detiene (si
estaba tocando), y el EXR-5/EXR-3 selecciona automática-
mente un sonido de piano por usted.
(2) Toque algunas notas en el teclado.
(3) Si fuera necesario, seleccione otro sonido pulsando uno de
los 8 botones TONE. Consulte la p. 61 para más informa-
ción.
ARRANGER

Quand vous mettez l’EXR-5/EXR-3 sous tension, il active son
mode PIANO SOLO. Vous pouvez alors utiliser l’EXR-5/EXR-3
comme piano numérique ou synthétiseur.
La fonction d’accompagnement (baptisée “Arranger”) et le bou-
ton [ONE¥TOUCH] ne sont pas disponibles en mode PIANO SOLO.
En outre, seule la partie Main est active.
L’EXR-5/EXR-3 propose trois parties pour jouer (et de nombreu-
ses autres pour l’accompagnement fourni par l’arrangeur et la
reproduction de morceau):
Main Il s’agit de la partie principale. Tant que la partie
Split est désactivée, la partie Main est assignée au
clavier entier.
Split Quand vous l’activez, la partie Split est assignée à la
moitié gauche du clavier, tandis que la partie Main
reste disponible pour votre main droite.
Dual Vous pouvez superposer cette partie à la partie
Main et l’assigner aussi au clavier entier. Cela per-
met de jouer simultanément deux sons superposés.
Utilisation de la partie Main
(1) Pour activer la partie Main et l’assigner au clavier entier,
appuyez sur le bouton [PIANO¥SOLO].
L’icône disparaît, l’arrangeur s’arrête (s’il était
activé) et l’EXR-5/EXR-3 active automatiquement un son de
piano.
(2) Jouez quelques notes sur le clavier.
(3) Si nécessaire, choisissez un autre son en appuyant sur un
