Screen Layout
[SEND] button
Transfers the temporary patch to the
SYSTEM-8.
[GET] button
Imports the temporary patch into the
JUPITER-4, which you’re editing in
plug-out mode on the SYSTEM-8.
[TUNING] knob
Adjusts the overall pitch of the
JUPITER-4.

[SETUP] button
Configures the MIDI settings (Mac/Win)
and the mouse scroll direction (Mac only).
These settings are common when running
multiple instances of the JUPITER-4.
This is the same as “Setup” in the
menu.

[ENSEMBLE] button
Adds an ensemble-like effect to the
sound.
Patch name
Shows the name of the selected patch.
[PATCH] button
Selects the patch.
This opens the Patch Manager
window.
* This only works with the JUPITER-4 model on the SYSTEM-8.
[PATCH SELECT] buttons
Selects patches 1–16.
[HELP] button
Shows the help contents.
This is the same as “HELP” in the menu.
[ABOUT] button
Shows information about the JUPITER-4.
This is the same as “ABOUT” in the menu.
[OPTION] button
Configures the skin and MIDI control
mapping.
This can be set individually if you’re
using more than one JUPITER-4.

Zoom
Drag the bottom-right corner of the
window to resize (zoom).
EDIT Screen
This screen is designed to look like the
JUPITER-4. You can set the detailed
parameters on this screen.
Keyboard area
Click on the keys to hear the sound. The corresponding keys react when MIDI
messages are received.
The velocity changes depending on where you click the keys.
Click the keys up higher (closer to the control panel) for lower velocities down
to the minimum, and click the keys down lower (further away from the control
panel) for higher velocities up to the maximum.
Use the mouse wheel to shift the keyboard octave.
[CONDITION] knob
This simulates the slight degradation of the analog sound generator circuit over the passage of several decades, which might occur on the
original JUPITER-4 model.
With this condition as the zero point, you can increase the value to simulate even more degradation for a warmer, more imprecise sound
that’s characteristic of analog circuitry; or you can decrease the value to simulate a more ideal sound with less degradation over time.
