2. Program Change Reception (PG RX)
When set to OFF, the messages concerned with making changes in sounds will be ignored
when received (Program Change and Bank Select messages). This is convenient when you do
not want to allow an external device to change sounds in this unit.
3. Program Change Transmission (PG TX)
When set to OFF, the messages concerned with making changes in sounds on the SK-50 panel
will not be transmitted (Program Change and Bank Select messages).
4. Device ID (DEVICE ID)
The Device ID allows individual units to be identified when you wish to have control over
(using a computer or MIDI sequencer) a multiple number of GS sound generators. By having
each similar unit immediately distinguishable from the rest, you are able to use Exclusive
messages to target a specific device to be controlled.
The Device ID Number for the SK-50 can be set to any number from 1 to 32. As a factory
default, the SK-50 is set to 17.
