Playing songs and recording your performances

Now you’re ready to record. In the song screen, turn Function off, and press the [F4 (REC)] button.

The [F3] button indication will change to [F3 (REC START)], and the V-Piano will enter recording-standby mode.

If the following screen appears
If you press the [F4 (REC)] button when a song is selected, a screen like the following will appear.

If you want to layer an additional performance onto the selected song, press the [F1 (ADD ON)] button.
If you want to record a new song (rather than layering onto an existing song), press the [F4 (NEW SONG)] button.
If the following screen appears
If you attempt to select a different song without saving the previously recorded performance, a screen like the following
will appear.

If you press the [F4 (OK)] button the previously recorded performance will be erased.
If you don’t want to erase the previously recorded performance, press the [F1 (CANCEL)] button to return to the previous
screen, and save your performance (p. 73).
