3.7 Installing the pedals
One of the pedals has a right- and the other a left-hand thread.
Most pedals have the letter “L” and “R” stamped on the end of the thread. Some pedals come with a
groove in the flange of the left pedal.
For more details see the manufacturer‘s manual.
1. Check if your bike was supplied with washers and slide both
washers onto the pedal axles – if present.
2. Turn the left pedal counter-clockwise to screw it into the
thread of the left crank arm and tighten the pedal to a
torque of 35Nm.

3. Turn the right pedal clockwise to screw it into the thread
of the right crank arm and tighten the pedal to a torque of
35Nm.

Your bike is now completely assembled. Before riding off, you should follow the steps described in the chapters
“Getting started for your first ride and getting used to your new bike” and “Before your ride”.
