FA ROTEX HeatPumpSolarUnit - Part 2 - 05/2009
[5] - Bivalence temperature and priority temperature of room heating
The Bivalence temperature is relevant for operating the internal Backup Heater (BH).
When the "Bivalence temperature" function is activated, and the outside temperature is the same or lower than the bivalence
temperature defined, operating the Backup Heater (BH) is limited to low outside temperatures.
If the "Bivalence temperature" function is deactivated, it is possible to operate the Backup Heater (BH) at all outside tempera-
tures. However, activating this function reduces the run time of the Backup Heater (BH).
The Priority temperature of the room heating is relevant for operating the switch unit and the Booster Heater (EHS) in the
HybridCube hot water storage tank.
When the function "Priority temperature" is activated, and the outside temperature is the same or lower than the set priority
temperature, the hot water is only heated by the Booster Heater (EHS). This ensures that the full output of the heat pump is only
used for room heating.
The target value correction for hot water (corrected higher target value) ensures that when the outside temperature either
reaches or falls below a predefined value, the entire heat output of the water in the hot water storage tank remains approximately
the same.
The following setting options are available:
[5-00] Status Bivalence temperature:
0 = Function Bivalence temperature is switched off.
1 = Function Bivalence temperature is switched on.
[5-01] Bivalence temperature: Outside temperature at which or below the Backup Heater (BH) is activated to support the
room heating.
[5-02] Priority during room heating:
0 = When the temperatures reaches or falls below the priority temperature, the heat pump is used equally for room heating
and hot water.
1 = When the temperatures reaches or falls below the priority temperature, the heat pump is only used for room heating.
[5-03] Priority temperature of room heating: Outside temperature at which, or at a lower temperature, the hot water is exclu-
sively heated by the Booster Heater (EHS).
[5-04] Target value correction for hot water:
Target temperature for the required water temperature in the hot water storage tank when the outside temperature is the
same as or falls below the bivalence temperature in parameter [5-01] and if the parameter [5-02] is set to 1.
CAUTION!
If the priority of the parameter [4-01] is set to 0, measures must be taken beforehand to ensure that the current
consumption does not exceed the permissible network load.
Current peaks that occur when a network in the power supply network of the domestic installation fails, it can
cause material damage to electrical current consumers.
If the priority of the parameter [4-01] is set to 1, the heating output for the room heating of the ROTEX Heat-
PumpSolarUnit can be reduced at low outside temperatures because the Backup Heater (BH) is not available for
room heating when hot water needs to be heated (the room heating is provided by the heat pump).
