• Thread the other end of the jib halyard block tie through the metal loop at the top
of the jib halyard block, pulling the excess through until the block is next to the
knot.
• Thread the free end of the jib halyard block tie through the shroud
shackle, in between the shrouds.
• Thread the end of the jib halyard block tie
back through the metal loop at the top of
the jib halyard block, passing through
in the opposite direction to step d.
• Tie knot #3 in the end of the jib halyard
block tie. The jib halyard
block will now hang just below the lower
of the two metal rings on the front face of
the mast.
3.4 - Rigging the Jib
• Thread the jib halyard through the jib halyard block, and
make sure that both ends of the jib halyard are secure at
the bottom of the mast.
