Pleasenotethatanyexposedbarewirethatcomesintocontactwiththeopposingpolarityorother
commonsignalingwire(e.g.thepositivewire(s)comesintocontactwiththenegativewire(s))will
causeashortandpotentiallydamagetheamplierand/orspeaker.Pleaseensurethattheproper
polarityisfollowedandthatnobareexposedwireisprotrudingfromtheterminalblockthatcan
easilycomeintocontactwithotherwires.Wireswillhaveatendencytobendandmoveattheentry-
pointoftheterminalblockandcancomelooseorinadvertentlycomeintocontactwithanother
wirewhentryingtoinserttheterminalintotheamplier,ortheamplierandwiringisplacedintoa
connedspace(e.g.cabinet).
Bridged Mode
TheAD-46-100andAD-810-100speakeroutputs
canoperateinabridgedmodewherebythe
poweroutputthatdrivesasinglepairof
speakers(Zone)canbebridged(i.e.combined
together)todriveasinglespeakeratahigher
poweroutput.Thiswilleectivelydoublethe
poweroutputtoazoneandiscommonly
usedtodriveasinglelargerspeakerthat
requiresmorepowertooperateoptimally.This
operationmodemustbeselectedandsetinthe
WEBGUIinterface.
1. Forconvenience,thephoenixstylecaptive
screwterminalscanberemovedfromthe
backpaneloftheamplierformucheasier
connectivity.Itisrecommendedtoremovetheterminalsforbarewireconnectivityasthescrew
terminalscanbeplacedontoasolidsurfacewhentightening.
2. Foreachspeakerpair,orzone,a4-terminalblockphoenixstyleconnectorisprovidedforthe
connectionofupto2speakers.Theterminalblockisnotlabeled;howeveritwillalignwiththe
labelingonthebackpaneloftheamplierwhenconnected.Pleasenotethatthepolarityand
connectionswhenusedinbridgemodediersfromstereomode.Theorderofconnectivityand
polarity,fromlefttoright,forthe4terminalsare:
a. LeftOuterTerminal–SpeakerPositive(+)
b. LeftInnerTerminal–Unused
c. RightInnerTerminal–Unsued
d. RightOuterTerminal–SpeakerNegative(-)
