TheAD-46-100andAD-810-100ampliersaredesignedforusewithLoZ4/8/16Ohmspeakersand
canoperateineitherastereoorbridgedmode.Thespeakerterminalsacceptcaptivescrewphoenix
styleconnectors(included)thatmakeiteasytoconnectspeakers.Terminalblocksallowspeakerstobe
convenientlyconnectedindependentlyoftheamplier,andwhenreadytheterminalblockscanbeeasily
insertedintothebackpaneloftheamplier.
Stereo Mode
TheAD-46-100andAD-810-100feature4and
8stereospeakerterminals,respectively.By
default,eachamplierissettostereooperation
modewherebychannelsareseparatedintoleft
andrightdesignations.Thisoperationmode
canbemodiedviatheWEBGUIinterface.The
includedcaptivescrewterminalscanacceptup
to12AWGbarespeakerwire.
1. Forconvenience,thephoenixstylecaptive
screwterminalscanberemovedfromthe
backpaneloftheamplierformucheasier
connectivity.Itisrecommendedtoremove
theterminalsforbarewireconnectivityas
thescrewterminalscanbeplacedontoa
solidsurfacewhentightening.
2. Foreachspeakerpair,orzone,a4-terminalblockphoenixstyleconnectorisprovidedforthe
connectionofupto2speakers.Theterminalblockisnotlabeled;howeveritwillalignwiththe
labelingonthebackpaneloftheamplierwhenconnected.Theorderofconnectivityandpolarity,
fromlefttoright,forthe4terminalswhenusedinbridgemode:
a. LeftOuterTerminal–LeftSpeakerPositive(+)
b. LeftInnerTerminal–LeftSpeakerNegative(-)
c. RightInnerTerminal–RightSpeakerNegative(-)
d. RightOuterTerminal–RightSpeakerPositive(+)
3. Insertthebarewirespeakercableintotheterminalblock,payingcloseattentiontothenotedpolarity
toensurethatitisnotinsertedinreverse.Thepositiveconductorshouldbeconnectedtothepositive
terminal,andthenegativeconductortothenegativeterminal.Pleasenotethatitmaybenecessaryto
rstuntightenthescrewterminalpriortoinsertion.
4. Usingasmallat-headscrewdriver,tightenthescrew(clockwise)untilitishand-tight.Usingexcessive
forceorapowertoolmayeitherdamage/breakthewireand/ortheterminalblock.
