Auto-Ducking
Appliesaduckingcircuitthatwilltemporarilyreducetheaudiolevelofthe
primaryaudiosource,allowingtheassignedSecondarySourceaudiototake
focus.Thisisafeaturethatisusefulforwhenanaudiosourceonlyrequires
amomentaryinterruption,suchasPAannouncementsoradoorbellchime.
Anotherusefulfunctionforthiswouldbetoconnectavoiceassistantdevice,
suchasanAmazonEcho,AppleHomepod,orGoogleHometoasourceinput
andusethisasthesecondaryaudiosourcethatcaninterruptazone’saudio
outputwheneverthevirtualassistantisactive,thusallowingforseamlessvoice
assistantintegrationintoadistributedaudiosystem.
• Enable/Disable:Enablesordisablesauto-ducking.
• Amount:Settheamountofvolumeattenuation(dB)tobeappliedtothe
primaryaudiosourcewhentheauto-duckingistriggered/active.Valuesare
between0to100.
• Attack:Setthetime(ms)ittakesforthevolumeoftheprimaryaudiosource
toreachthetargetamountofattenuationwhenauto-duckingistriggered.
Theprimaryaudiosourcevolumewillbereducedlinearly(fadeddown)
acrosstheentiretimevalueset.Valuesarebetween10to500.
• Hold:Settheminimumamountoftime(ms)thattheassignedSecondary
Sourceneedstobeinactiveforauto-duckingtoreleasetheprimaryaudio
source.Valuesarebetween10to500.
• Release:Setthetime(ms)auto-duckingwilltaketoincreasetheprimary
audiosourcetoitsoriginalaudioleveloncetheassignedSecondarySourceis
inactive.Theaudiogainoftheprimaryaudiosourcewillbelinear(fadedup)
acrossthetimevalueset.Valuesarebetween10to2000.
