DIAGNOSTICS (continued)
TEST STRING – Display/adjust the sample RS-232
string that will be sent out on Tx Test
BAUD RATE – Display/adjust RS-232 settings
Use cursor up/down buttons to change values of:
• Baud rate
• Data bits
• Parity
• Stop bits
SERIAL – Send sample RS-232 string out selected port
DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM MENU
NETWORK
DIAGNOSTIC NETWORK MENU – Use the cursor up/down
buttons to display and adjust network settings. Press the
SEL button to keep the settings. Use the Rebind function to
apply the settings.
NOTE: Network settings should be changed on the XP-8
for diagnostic purposes only. Settings will be lost upon
downloading of a system le or if power is lost.
• IP Address
• Netmask
• DNS
• DHCP/Static
• Gateway
• Rebind – after changing any of previous settings,
select rebind to apply all new settings simultaneously.

CLOCK
CLOCK – Display/adjust current time and date
• Set Time – use the cursor buttons to adjust
• Set Date – use the cursor buttons to adjust
MENU TIMEOUT – Adjust where the display menu reverts to
after the backlight timeout.
• Enable – Will revert the display back to the system clock
after backlight timeout.
• Disable – Will remain at the most recently selected menu
after backlight timeout.
