Electric and Link Connections
Connecting the Power Cord
1. Make sure the power switch is in the “O” position.
2. Plug the power cord into the power inlet ..

2-Q) located on the rear of the instrument.
3. Plug the other end of the power cord into an
appropriate AC electrical outlet. The outlet should be
a dedicated line and it must be grounded.

CAUTION: Do not connect or disconnect power
supply with wet hands. Doing so may cause electrical
shock.
CAUTION: Connection/Disconnection of power cable
by holding any other part but the plug body may
cause fire or electrical shock.
4. Switch the power switch to the on position labeled “I”.
Setting up the Link Connection (Optional)
A data cable is part of the optional link connection that
combines the Film
®
Coverslipper to the Tissue-Tek
®
Prisma
®
Automated Slide Stainer.
1. Connect one end of the data cable to the link inlet

.. (Figure 2-Q) located on the rear of the instrument,
and the other end to the bottom right side of the
Prisma Slide Stainer.
NOTE: Optional Link Station must be installed by an
authorized Sakura Representative.
