What to do if the actuator stem does not move on demand in my Samson Controller?
    • R
      richard90Sep 4, 2025
If the actuator stem on your Samson Controller isn't moving, first, check for any blockages. Be careful, as a blocked actuator can suddenly move uncontrollably, potentially causing injury. Disconnect and lock the pneumatic air supply and control signal before attempting to remove any blockage. Release any stored energy in the actuator, such as spring compression. Also, check the signal pressure and the signal pressure line for leaks. Ensure the signal pressure is connected to the correct diaphragm chamber, referring to the 'Installation' chapter. Finally, a defective diaphragm in the actuator could be the cause; in this case, you would need to replace the diaphragm.
