      If the screen is blocked because the HDMI output is set to a resolution your TV doesn't support (like 1080p), press the button on the top panel for more than 5 seconds when there's no disc inside and you are on the home screen. This will revert all settings to the factory defaults. Note that this will delete all stored user BD data.

To do this, press and hold the 5 (STOP) button on the top panel for more than 5 seconds when there is no disc inside and you are on the home screen. Be aware that this action will erase all stored user BD data, so only use this method if absolutely necessary.
