• If the lens does not have an AF/MF
switch, select the Auto Focus
in the
camera menu.
• OIS may not be available with some
lenses.

Use Manual Focus (MF)
When shooting a subject similar in color to the
background, a night scene, or fireworks, you can manually
focus on the subject by rotating the focus ring on the lens.
Set the AF/MF switch to iVlF and rotate the focus ring.
If the lens does not have an AF/MF switch, select
Manual Focus and rotate the focus ring. (p. 57)
• When you set the MF assist function, the focus
area
is magn ified or the focus aid bar appears
while you are rotating the focus ring so that you
can easily achieve a focus.
