(less intense) to +2 (more intense).

* The camera fires the flash twice to reduce red-eyes.
If the subject is too far from the camera or moves
when the first flash fires, red-eyes may not be
reduced.
~ Flash is not available in some scene modes.

Adjust the flash intensity to select the brightness of
your photos.
In Shooting mode, press [MENU].
2 Select C?2 -,.~ Flash.

• Adjusting the flash intensity may not be
effective if:
- The subject is too close to the camera.
- You set a high ISO sensitivity.
- The exposure value is too big or too small.
• In some shooting modes, you cannot use
this function.
•
If the subject is too close, the lens may
partially block necessary light and your
photo will be darker. Ensure the subject is
within the recommended area. The distance
may vary by lens.
• When a lens hood is attached, the flash light
may be blocked by the hood. Remove the
hood to use the flash.
