In
order
to
protect
against
accidental
erasure
of
important
tapes,
cassettes
are
equipped
with
erasure
prevention
tabs.
There
is
one
tab
for
side
1
and
one
tab
for
side
2.
By
breaking
off
the
proper
tab
with
the
tip
of
a
screwdriver,
the
mechanism
for
preventing
accidental
erasure
will
engage
and
prevent
re-recording
of
that
side
even
if
the
REC
button
is
pushed.
Note:
Should
you
ever
want
to
make
a
recording
into
a
cassette
with such
tabs
already
broken,
seal
the
tab
openings
with
masking
tape.
You
can
play
at
the
desired
time
by
using
an
external
timer.
1.
Connect
all
units
as
shown
in
the
illustration,
and
turn
on
all
of
the
power
source.
2.
Play
the
tape
you
wish
to
use,
and
adjust
the
playback
level.
3.
Run
the
tape
back
to
the
beginning
point,
and
set
the
timer
to
turn
on
the
power
at
the
desired
time.
Doing
this,
will
cut
off
the
power
to
all
units.
4.
Depress
the
TIMER
PLAY
button
on
the
unit.
This
completes
the
preparation.
e
At
the
predetermined
time
the
power
will
come
on
and
play
will
begin.
When
play
is
completed
and
the
tape
comes
to
and
end,
the
Auto
Stop
mechanism
will
stop
the
tape
transport.
