What to do if Santon Premier Plus 150 Water Heater discharges from T&P Relief Valve?
    • S
      Sarah MillerAug 8, 2025
If your Santon Water Heater is discharging from the T&P Relief Valve, it could be due to thermal control failure, and the water will be very hot. Switch off power to immersion heater(s) and/or shut down the boiler. Do not turn off the water supply. After the discharge stops, check all thermal controls, and replace them if faulty.

What to do if Santon Premier Plus 150 Water Heater discharges from Expansion Valve?
    • N
      Nicole LongAug 21, 2025
If your Santon Water Heater is discharging from the Expansion Valve, it could be due to: * INTERMITTENTLY: The expansion vessel charge pressure has reduced below 3.5 bar. See the Maintenance section for the re-charging procedure. * CONTINUALLY: This could be due to a cold water combination valve pressure reducer not working correctly or an expansion valve seat damaged. * Check the pressure from the cold water combination valve. If it's greater than 3.6 bar, replace the pressure reducer cartridge. * Remove the expansion valve cartridge and check the condition of the seat. If necessary, fit a new expansion valve cartridge.

Why is my Santon Premier Plus 150 Water Heater water milky?
    • N
      nscottSep 1, 2025

Check and switch it on. * The BACK UP immersion heater thermal cut-out may have operated. Check and reset it by pushing the button. * For INDIRECT systems, the programmer might be set to Central Heating only. Check and set it to the Domestic Hot Water program. * For INDIRECT systems, the boiler might not be working.
