What to do if Sanyo Denki Servo Drives motor does not rotate but 7-segment LED displays rotating '8'?

  If the 7-segment LED displays a rotating character “8 “(Servo ON status), but the motor does not rotate, first, check if the command is inputted using a digital operator's monitor. If the monitor value is zero, input a command. Also, ensure the servo motor's power line is connected. Check for any inputted torque restrictions and review the “Functions enabling condition settings “. Stop the input of deviation clear and encoder clear, and re-check “Functions enabling condition settings “.

  If the 7-segment LED does not blink even when the main power is ON, check the voltage at the power input terminal and verify the power supply if the voltage is low. Ensure wires and screws are fastened properly. If the internal power circuit of the servo amplifier is defective, replace it. Also, stop the input of Over-travel and Emergency Stop. Check the “Functions enabling condition settings “ and turn on /HWGOFF1 and /HWGOFF2 inputs.
