8.1 Using Operating Modes (Examples)
8.1.1 Multi Dispensing
Requirements
Tips are attached to the cone.
Procedure
t Open the main menu.
t Select the “Multi Disp.” pipetting mode and confirm.
y The display shows the last pipetting settings for the “Multi Disp.”

t To change pipetting settings: activate edit mode.
t Edit the desired settings and confirm.
t To activate advanced functions or adapt the safety volume:
t Press the [ADV] softkey.
t Select and activate the desired advanced functions (see Chapter“4.7
Menu Structure in the “Advanced Functions” Menu”, page22).
t To aspirate liquid: press the operating button.
y The selected volume and safety volume are aspirated.
t To eject the primary excess: press the operating button.
t Press the operating button until all sub-volumes have been dispensed.
y The message: “Double-click to empty?” is displayed.
t To continue with repeated dispensing without emptying the filter tip:
press the [NO] softkey.
t To empty the filter tip: press the operating button twice.
t To eject the filter tip: press the electronic tip ejection.
8.1.2 Manual Pipetting
Requirements

Procedure
t Open the main menu.
t Select the “Manual” pipetting mode.
t To change pipetting settings: activate edit mode.
t Edit the desired settings and confirm.
t To start the pipetting process: press the operating button.
