9.2.4 Assembling the Lower Section (1-channel Models)
Models up to 1,000µL
Procedure
t Slide the spring over the piston.
t Place the tip cone in the tip cone holder.
t Slide the tip cone holder together with the tip cone over the piston.
t To secure the tip cone holder and tip cone: turn the tip cone holder anti-
clockwise to tighten.
t Slide the tip ejector over the tip cone and secure by turning it anti-
clockwise.
t Insert a new Safe-Cone Filter (see Chapter5.4, page28).
t To ensure that the grease is evenly distributed:
t Switch on the device.
t Press the operating button several times.
t Check the operation of the device.
Models with 5,000µL
t Slide the tip cone over the piston and secure by turning it anti-clockwise.
t Check that the tip cone is not too tight.
Models with 10,000µL
t Slide the tip cone and tip cone holder slowly over the piston and secure
by turning anti-clockwise.
t Check that the tip cone is not too tight.
