Calibrating the Balance/Scale
The PT...- 000V1 balances and GT...- G00V1 scales can be calibrated in two different ways.
1. Calibrating in the Weighing Mode
In this mode, calibration is performed in the same manner as for other SARTORIUS balances and scales. PT...-
000V1 balances and GT...- G00V1 scales accept only calibration weights that are within a tolerance range of 2% of
the calibration weight value.
2. Calibrating in Gross Value Mode
In this mode, the tolerance limits are eliminated, and PT...- 000V1 balances and GT...- G00V1 scales accept only
calibration weights that are above the zero point threshold (20% of the maximum load). This is often required for
servicing the balance/scale, e.g., after adjusting the zero point offset value; after exchanging PCBs; after exchanging
the strain gauge system or after exchanging parameter EEEPROM.
Calibrating the Balance/Scale in the Weighing Mode
- Turn off the balance/scale by pressing the key.
- Remove any load from the balance/scale (clear weighing pan (101)).
- For gaining access to the calibration function, remove the protective cover
(114) on the front right-hand side of the balance, and push the menu-
access switch to the left.
- When you turn the balance/scale back on by pressing the , hold
down the
F1
key. Release the
F1
only once the readout shown on the
left is indicated in the display.
- Tare the balance/scale again by pressing the
T
control; then start the
calibration process by pressing the
F1
key.
- The calibration weight value will be indicated in the display along with a
„+“ sign but with no weight unit symbol.
