Never starve the bar and chain of lubricating oil. Run-
ning the saw dry or with too little oil will decrease
cutting e󰀩ciency, shorten saw chain life, cause rapid
dulling of chain, and lead to excessive wear of bar
from overheating. Too little oil is evidenced by smoke
or bar discolouration. Always check the oil mist on a
light surface, by pointing the chainsaw towards this
surface at full speed.
m NOTICE
Store the equipment in a dry place and far away from
possible ignition sources such as an oven, a gas-
red hot water boiler, a gas-red dryer, etc.
Important hint in case of sending the equipment
to a service station:
Due to security reasons please see to it that the
equipment is sent back free of oil and gas!
Instructions for periodic maintenance
To ensure long life, prevent damage and ensure the
full functioning of the safety features the following
maintenance must be performed regularly. Guaran-
tee claims can be recognized only if this work is per-
formed regularly and properly. Failure to perform the
prescribed maintenance work can lead to accidents!
The user of the chain saw must not perform mainte-
nance work which is not described in the instruction
manual. All other work may only be performed by a
specialist workshop.
