Additional notes on scales with printer interface
You have purchased an electronic personal scale with a serial printer interface. At the bot-
tom of the scale head (see illustration), a 9-pole sub-D plug is provided via which an
“EPSON” compatible printer can be connected. For further details please consult the seca
customer service.
For details on how to install and set a printer into operation, please refer to the relevant
operating instructions.
Functional description and operating conditions
The scale with printer interface is provided with an automatic print function to document
the weighing results. This does not affect the operation and function of the scale.
Printing is possible as soon as the printer has been correctly connected to the scale via
the printer cable (and locked using the screw bolts) and the following conditions are
satisfied:
Scale and printer are on
Printer is in online mode
The following printer parameters habe been set:
Baud rate: 9600 bps
Data bit: 8 bits
Parity check: enabled / yes
Parity: even
Handshaking: XON / XOFF

The printout of a weighing result is automatically started once you have stepped onto the
scale and the display has stabilized. Then the printout is only completed, if the scale is
relieved and no function is activated. Each printout bears the seca logo.
Please note that when several prints are made in succession,
0.00 (no load) is briefly dis-
played. Otherwise, another output cannot be printed.
