F. Operational test of the mono/stereo switch of the Cable
NOTE:
THIS PROCEDURE IS ONLY APPLICABLE TO HEADSETS WITH CABLES -BV-K, -BV-KP, -V-KP, -V-RP
AND -V-KX.
NOTE:
MAKE SURE THAT THE L/R BOOM KNOB IS IN THE L POSITION.
ACTION RESULT
(1) Set the switch of the sine wave generator
(2, Table 1001) to ON.
(2) Set the sine wave generator to 1 kHz.
(3) Set the switch of the Cable to the STEREO
mode (Ref. Fig. 1004).
(a) Connect 1 kHz to audio hi left pin.
(b) Connect ground to audio lo pin.
(c) Put on the headphone and listen at
the microphone side capsule.
You can hear the 1 kHz signal tone of the sine
wave generator in the microphone side
capsule.
(d) Connect 1 kHz to audio hi right pin.
(e) Connect ground to audio lo pin.
(f) Listen at the non microphone side
capsule.
You can hear the 1 kHz signal tone of the sine
wave generator in the non microphone side
capsule.
(4) Set the switch of the Cable to the MONO
mode (Ref. Fig. 1004).
You cannot hear any audio signal.
(a) Connect 1 kHz to audio hi left pin.
(b) Connect ground to audio lo pin.
(c) Listen at the left and right
headphone capsule.
You can hear the 1 kHz signal tone of the sine
wave generator in the left and right capsule.
(5) Set the switch of the sine wave generator
to OFF.
(6) Remove the test cables.
