G. Test of the volume control for the MONO and STEREO switch position of the Cable
NOTE:
THIS PROCEDURE IS ONLY APPLICABLE TO HEADSETS WITH CABLES -BV-K, -BV-CP, -V-RP, -V-CP,
-V-KP, -BV-KP AND -V-KX.
NOTE:
MAKE SURE THAT THE L/R BOOM KNOB IS IN THE L POSITION.
ACTION RESULT
(1) Set the switch of the sine wave
generator (2, Table 1001) to ON.
(2) Set the sine wave generator to 1 kHz.
(3) Set the mono/stereo switch of the Cable
to the MONO mode.
(4) Connect 1 kHz (2, Table 1001) to the
audio hi and audio lo of the related pins
(Ref. Fig. 1004).
(5) Put on the headset and put the
microphone arm in position on your
left side.
(6) Move the left slide knob for the
microphone side capsule from low to
high and back.
You can hear the 1 kHz signal in the left and
right capsule. The volume changes only in the
microphone side capsule.
(7) Move the right slide knob for the non
microphone side capsule from low to
high and back.
You can hear the 1 kHz signal n the left and
right capsule. The volume changes only in the
non microphone side capsule.
(8) Set the switch of the sine wave
generator to OFF.
(9) Remove the test cables.
