Fault Advice
What are the Limitations when
using Document Filing on an
ARM550/620/700U models.
On a U model, files can be stored in Quick File only, a maximum
of 10,000 pages combined in a total of 1000 files.
The oldest files deletes should you go over 999, and when the
machine is powered down you lose all pages and files unless they
are protected. There are no passwords on U models and file
naming is restricted.
What are the Limitations when
using Document Filing on an
ARM550/620/700U fitted with the
AR-P19.
When the ARP19 is installed onto an AR550/620/700U, not only is
the Quick File application still available, you can now have a Main
Folder and Custom Folders can be created. With this, an
additional capacity of 20,000 pages and 3,000 folders is available.
What is required to run two
machines in Tandem?
Both machines require the ARP19 installed.
Although the machines do not need to be networked, they need to
be connected via a crossover cable, which can be up-to 100mtrs
long. However, if the machines are networked, they can still be
used for both Tandem print and copy.
Note: The machines can be different speeds however, if the
customer requires stapling and saddle stitching, both machines
have to have the same options installed.
On a standard AR-M550/620/700U,
is it possible to print via either the
parallel port or the USB port?
To enable printing on the AR-M550/620/700U, the AR-P19 must
be installed. On standard machine (U model), the Parallel & USB
ports are used to upgrade the firmware only.
TRANSPORT & MISFEED
Intermittent jamming at MPFD2_SL.
Incorrect timing of the MPFD2 sensor - replace the switch with a
modified type with increased spring load - QSW-Z0543FCZZ
LPPD_N jams from the LCC.
Check that the LCC entrance guide has been turned round on
installation.
APPD_S or APPD2_N jams or
image skew when duplex copying
or printing
Fit additional ADU spacers (PSHEP5398FCZZ -4 required) to
increase the paper path clearance on he left door unit.
Note: ONLY install the spacers when the symptom is
experienced.
POD1_N jams
There are 3 factors that may cause POD1_N jams:-
1.Check the movement of the drum separation pawl. For
machines before March’03 production, replace the Solenoid Plate
LPLTM6175FCZ1 & Separator Pawl pick MARMP0319FCZZ.
2. The drum separator pawls may chip when curled or perforated
paper is fed. Install new type pawls PTME-0304FCZZ and fit an
additional reinforcement sheet PSHEP5347FCZZ for each drum
separator pawl
3. Check / Replace any damaged or broken fuser separation
pawls PTME-0300FCZZ. For increased movement, the fuser
insulate plate has been changed from July’04 production
PSLDH0182FCZ1.
