CHAPTER 3. ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE
[1] ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE
1. After replacement of any PWB and/or IC for repair, note the following.
When replacing the following units, be sure to prepare the new units loaded with updated software.
• Note that an IC into which ROM data is written is available for MAIN-UNIT servicing (see below).
2. Software Upgrade
2.1. Preparation when software of MICON is upgraded.
2.1.1
1. Purchase Flash ROM Writer DVP-M2 (M3A-2930) for the MAIN microcomputer from RENESAS.
2. Purchase Emulator Debugger R8C/2A (ROE000080KCE00) for the SUB microcomputer from RENESAS.
2.1.2
1. Preparation for installing Flash ROM Writer (M3A-2925G01) for the MAIN microcomputer
1) Connect RC32C ROM Writer to the USB terminal of the PC via a USB cable.
2) The enclosed CD-ROM is automatically installed by plug & play function of Windows.
3) Copy all files of RC32C holder from C drive to D drive of your PC.

4) Start “RC32C_EZ.exe” up from your PC folder.
The wizard starts up by the plug & play function then the corresponding USB driver is automatically installed.
2. Preparation for installing E8 Emulator Debugger for the SUB microcomputer
1) Connect E8 Emulator Debugger to the USB terminal of the PC via a USB cable.
2) The enclosed CD-ROM is automatically installed by plug & play function of Windows.
3) Access the following RENESAS site and download two of the following update packages from the latest version.

a) E8 Emulator Software V.2.10 Release 00 for M16C, H8 Upgrade (Full package)

4) Install two of the above-mentioned programs.
