Function setup
Some discs are specified as not suitable for children.
Playback of such discs can be restricted with this
TV/DVD.
Press SETUP and the SETUP screen
displays.
Press 4/1_ to select [] (SETUP), then
press v or ENTER.
Press A/v to select "Parental".
Press 4/_ until the level you require
appears.
Press SETUP and the SETUP screen
displays.
Press 4/1_ to select [] (SETUP), then
press v or ENTER.
Press A/v to select "Password".
Press Number buttons (0-9) to enter the
password you have stored.
• If you input a wrong number, press CANCEL.
LevelOff The parental control setting does not
function.
Level 8 Virtually all DVD software can be
played back.
Level 1 DVD software for adults cannot be
played back.
• Select from level 1 to level 8. The limitation will be more
severe as the level number decreases.
Press ,L to select "Password".
Press Number buttons (0-9) to input a
4-digit password.
Be sure to remember this number!
• if you input a wrong number, press CANCEL.
Press ENTER to store the password.
After the rating is locked, the setting cannot be
changed unless you enter the correct
password.
Press RETURN to return to the normal
screen.
Press ENTER.
The rating is now unlocked.
Press v to select "Parental", then press 4
or I_ to change the parental level.
Press A to select "Password", then
press Number buttons (0-9) to enter the
password.
You can change the password at this time if you
want.
Press ENTER.
The parental level is changed and locked.
Press RETURN to return to the normal
screen.
• Depending on the discs, the TV/DVD may not be able to
limit playback.
• Some discs may not be encoded with specific rating level
information though its disc jacket says "adult." For those
discs, the parental control feature will not work.
If you forget the password...
1. Press EJECT to remove the disc.
2. While holding STOP down on the front panel, press 7 on
the remote control.
"PASSWORD CLEAR" appears on the screen.
3. Enter a new password again.
