@ In 1.9 secondsafterthe stad of the mainmotor,the lowerpaper
feed solenoid(LPFS) is energizedfor a moment.With this,the
latchdisengagesfromthe protrusionso thatthe gear rotationis
conveyed to the takeup rollershaft’tostartfeedingpaper.
Action after this is similar as the up~r _ffe fed. (See

C. Manualpaperf- operation

When a copy paper is insened in the manual feed tray, the
.manuatpaper entrysensorswitch(M*) is actuatedby the lead
edge of the copy paper. At the same time, the main motorand
the gear train startsto mn. The copy paper is fad by the paper
transportrollersand stopsat the PS rollersby the actuatin of
MSI. In 0.3 s~nds afterthe actuationof MSI, the mainmotor
stops and the copiergoes intothe ready state.
@ When the print switch is depressed, the main motor startsto
rotate again in 0.1 secondslater and the PS solenoidatiates
when the lead edge of the image on the drum is synchron~ad
withthe copy lead edge. The copypaperis then fed tirther into
the copier by the PS roller.

Rotate the connectinggear in the arrowdirectionand make sure ~
while the clutch sleeve is held by the latchof the upper cassette
(or lowermssefte) paper’fe~ solenoidthatthe flatsideofthe roller
is paralel with the cassetteguide.Toleranceis t5”.
